Hello from Vancouver by the sea, where spring has finally decided to stay and my star magnolia has decided to take a chance on blooming. This is a restless time of year, which is probably why I'm up at 3:30 AM wasting time on Youtube. And there, far out in the ocean of mediocre originals and painful covers, drift a few pearls of great price (to mix metaphors beyond recognition), including a little collection of tunes by one Leesha Harvey, along a trail that started with Patty Griffin, then Shawn Colvin and Brandi Carlile, then Dala and Darcie Miner and Serena Ryder, then Rachael Yamagata and a few others now lost to memory. I've been listening to your stuff ever since, except for one detour to check out the original version of "Falling Slowly" again to remind myself what a great song that is). Anyway, although normally I don't write fan letters, I just wanted to wish you all the best in what, if there's any justice at all in this world, will be a great career. I love the sincerity and simplicity with which you present your music, and as Stefan said, I hope you can hang on to that. All the best.
