Leesha Harvey: Music

Patience to Endure

(Leesha Harvey)
Empty hands on the corner
Hollow faces at my door
Crying eyes on my shoulder
Always begging me for more

Plastered smile in the pulpit
Cheerful voice in the crowd
Broken heart in the quiet
A whisper crying out loud

Chorus:
It’s not clear what the hell I’m doing here
I thought that I knew once now I’m not sure
I can only guess why I’m walking
through this wilderness
And if I’ll have the patience to endure

Are they taking me for granted?
Are my words misunderstood?
Can they see through my tired eyes?
Sometimes I wish they could

(Chorus)

Are you trying to tell me something
Did I hear you wrong
Is all of this for nothing
Have I been mistaken all along

It’s not clear what on earth I’m doing here
I thought that I knew once now I’m not sure
I can only guess why I’m walking through this wilderness
And if I’ll have the patience to endure
